PIA Moodle User Agreement

Welcome to Moodle, Polytechnic Institute Australia's online learning platform.
Moodle is an important part of your learning experience. It provides access to your study materials, assessments, grades, learning activities, communications, and student support resources.
By accessing and using Moodle, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Your Responsibilities
As a student, you agree to:
- Use Moodle for your studies and related educational activities only.
- Keep your login details secure and not share your account with anyone.
- Access and submit your own work unless collaboration is specifically authorised.
- Communicate respectfully with students, staff, and other members of the PIA community.
- Follow all applicable PIA policies, procedures, and academic requirements.
Academic Integrity
PIA is committed to academic integrity and honest learning practices.
By using Moodle, you agree that all assessment submissions must comply with PIA's Academic Integrity requirements and any instructions provided by your lecturer. Assessment submissions may be checked using approved academic integrity and similarity detection tools. For further information please refer to PIA's Academic Integrity and Misconduct Policy.
Privacy and Personal Information
PIA collects and uses personal information required to support your enrolment, learning activities, assessment processes, student support services, and compliance obligations.
Information available through Moodle may include your name, student identification number, email address, course enrolments, assessment submissions, grades, and records of participation in learning activities.

Monitoring and Support
Authorised PIA staff may access Moodle records and activity information where required to:
- Provide academic or technical support.

Student Conduct
All activity undertaken within Moodle must comply with the: Student Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
Inappropriate, abusive, misleading, or unauthorised use of Moodle may result in disciplinary action in accordance with Institute policies.
